Weight Loss Forever is committed to helping our patients achieve their weight loss and health goals so we have developed in-depth resources to help you achieve these goals – both before and after your procedure.

Weight Loss Forever believes strongly in education. In fact, one of our core values as a company is ‘Education Equals Freedom’. The more informed you are as a patient, the more successful you will be – it’s as simple as that.

Medical & Psychological Assessments:
Medical & Psychological Assessments:
Not everyone who wants weight loss surgery is a candidate. Weight Loss Forever believes that only individuals for whom the benefits of weight loss surgery outweigh the risks should be candidates. That’s why there is a mandatory Medical & Psychological Assessment that you must complete. Weight Loss Forever believes that this Assessment Tool provides us with the information we need to ensure your safety and highest success possible.
  • Bariatric Surgeon
  • Chief Internist
  • Cardiologist
  • Anesthesiologist
  • Psychologist
  • Nutritionist

It generally takes about two weeks from the time an Assessment is completed for our Medical Team to determine if you are a candidate, or if further testing is needed. There is no charge to complete our assessment, but in order to access our Assessment Tool, you must have completed an Information Session and be assigned a patient facilitator.

If you are interested in completing the Assessment and would like to know if you qualify for our program, you must contact Head Office at 1-877-306-8891 or by email at patientservices@weightlossforever.ca

In addition to our Information Sessions and Assessment Tools, we pair you up with a Patient Facilitator and encourage you to participate in a support group in order to provide you with a realistic view of life after bariatric surgery. Doing this allows you to meet real people who have been through our program. You can ask questions, observe patients’ successes and struggles and begin to develop the support system you will need if you become a part of our bariatric program and weight loss family.

Postoperative Support:
Post-operative Support:
Our post-operative care is multi-disciplinary and holistic. We believe that successful weight loss needs emotional, physical and community support. The Weight Loss Forever Bariatric Program is unique in Canada. We are proud to be the only bariatric program offering the one-on-one continuous support that has been proven to increase your long-term success. In fact, our program follows and then exceeds the guidelines for bariatric care by the Canadian Medical Association.
Patient Facilitators:
Patient Facilitators:
We believe that the single best way to provide the ongoing support you will need is to partner you with one of our Patient Facilitators who are former, successful patients. They are there to guide you, support you, provide factual information and encourage the positive changes and new habits that you will develop through our program. This partnership starts well before your surgery and continues for as long as you need it.
Support Groups:
Support Groups:
Weight Loss Forever offers ongoing, free support groups in multiple cities across Western Canada. Our Patient Facilitators are trained group leaders and our support groups follow the guidelines developed by the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons. Support Groups have been shown to increase overall weight loss, as well as reduce depression rates and they are a core piece of our Bariatric Program. Our patients have found that surrounding yourself with people who share and understand your situation is invaluable. Please click here to learn more about our support groups and to sign up to attend one in your area.
Psychological Support:
Psychological Support:
Weight Loss Forever works closely with two Clinical Psychologists and has a network of Psychologists across Western Canada who can provide additional support should you need such care.

Clothing Exchanges:
Clothing Exchanges:
Weight Loss Forever knows how expensive it can be as you lose weight. The pounds can melt off incredibly fast, leaving you without clothes that fit – and since you are still losing weight, buying clothes that will only fit for a month or two is a waste of money and time. That’s why we have developed an industry first: the clothing exhange!
Clothing Exchanges:

It is very simple and very effective – as you shrink out of your clothes, you donate them to the clothing exchange and then you ‘shop’ for free for clothes that do fit.

Please note: Clothing exchanges are not available in all geographical areas.
